Horsing Around {Portland Senior Photographer}

Photographing pets is a lot of work but I love seeing the connection between pets and their owners. A few weeks ago I was lucky enough to photograph a gorgeous senior, C, and her beautiful horses. I don't know much about horses nor have been around many but these were the most well behaved and affectionate animals. I almost tried to pack one of them up in the back of my car to bring home!

We used C's own stable as our backdrop and it was perfect. C is very involved with her horses, works hard in school and has a great relationship with her family. I just love having the opportunity to work with people like her!

And because I love me some good shoe pictures...

Dog Days {Portland Family Photographer}

This adorable family and I had a blast wandering around the Pearl a few weeks ago. We even got the family dog in on the fun! I know I've said it before, but I love shooting downtown (wait, did you know I love shooting downtown?)! Thanks for the fabulous time!

Albie Designs {Vendor Review}

Last July I had the awesome opportunity to take product photos for a new clothing/design company. It's pretty hard to outshine these adorable kids but Albie Designs clothes practically do. Not only are they unique and uber stylish, they are affordable and so comfortable too. I love how Kim (the designer) offers matching styles for bigs and littles.

Often people ask me what they should dress their kids in for a photo session. As you can see from the shots below, these clothes really standout. The designs are fun without overwhelming the images and the textures are fabulous. My own little man's Albie Design shirts never even make it on a hanger. They go straight from the wash and onto his back. He loves them!

Varsity Blues {Portland Senior Photographer}

I must say I was slightly worried about this session. Most boys don't love having their pictures taken (who am I kidding- most boys hate having their pictures taken). This senior, however, was straight awesome. He was joking around with me and coming up with all sorts of unique poses. He let me drag him all over the place and totally trusted me. We seriously have a blast and I think I'm in love with senior photography!

Are these so Varsity Blues or is it just me (and does that totally date me)?

Downtown {Portland Family Photographer}

If I'm being honest, my absolute favorite place to take pictures is downtown. There are so many different backdrops and Portland is such a beautiful city!

I was so thrilled when my good friends asked me to take their family pictures for them and even more thrilled when they wanted to do them downtown. We had such a great time and the kids were dolls though I did have to pull out the stops to get some smiles from Miss E (such as spitting grapes and singing)!

I had such a hard time narrowing down my favorites but here are a few! Thanks guys!

I had to include this last shot! These kids love their mommy so much! It was so sweet (and FYI, dad was lugging all the stuff and the stroller around the street while the rest of us took the stairs- they definitely love him too!).

It's a big world {Portland Family Photographer}

It's always such an honor when someone I know contacts me to take their pictures. The mommy in this family and I went to graduate school together (we were both teachers in our former lives). Her family is gorgeous and her kids were so full of personality! I kind of wanted to steal them and take them home with me! Thanks for inviting me to document your sweet family!
