Brand New Day {Portland Family Photographer}

Just last weekend I finally got to take pictures of the beautiful, deserving family I chose for my family casting call. I definitely lucked out with this beautiful family. Not only were they all naturals in front of the camera but the two girls were the sweetest and most well behaved ladies. I totally enjoyed my time with them (and it didn't hurt that we scheduled our session for one of the only sunny days this month)! Thank you so much B family! I wish you tons of luck in the future!

The Best {Portland Portrait Photographer}

I happen to be lucky enough to have the most amazing lady as my best friend. We've known each other since our Freshman year at JHS (16 years ago to be exact). She is the one I talk to every day and have weekly dinner dates with. She is the one I picked to be my son's godmother. She is a huge nerd (which works out perfectly because I am an even bigger nerd).

This past weekend I forced her to come with me on a senior photoshoot to be my creative assistant. We had a fabulous time as we always do and she even let me snap a few shots of her. Not only is she beautiful on the inside but just look at her!

Thanks for being the best BFF a girl (and her son) could ask for! We love you!

What to Wear Wednesday {Portland Photographer}

Urban sessions are always fun and offer a variety of shooting options. Here are some outfit ideas for sisters (for brothers see here).

Accessories are fun to bring along on a shoot (like the hat and sunglasses below). They bring personality and fun to a couple shots and can be put away for a different look.

Casting Call- Senior {Portland Senior Photographer}

Senior year is such an amazing time. I am so excited to start offering senior sessions and have only a few slots available this year. In honor of the end of the school year I am looking for a great senior(s) to become my spokesmodel(s) for the 2010-2011 school year. I am looking for seniors who:

• love to be in front of the camera.
• are involved in school and/or community activities.
• are willing to help promote LLP in exchange for print credits or gift cards.
• are up for anything.

What my spokesmodels will get*:

• a free session (or two shorter sessions) with me (Lindsey Lyons)
• digital, watermarked images to share on Facebook or MySpace and by email
• discounts on any products I offer (prints, canvases, albums, etc)
• 2 free 5x7's and 1 free 8x10
• additional compensation for every senior you refer who books a session with Lindsey Lyons Photography

This past weekend Nate, Ben and I hauled ourselves and a carload of baby gear up to Seattle where I participated in the I ♥ Faces Photowalk. Not only was it fun to photograph some lovely ladies but it was such a great opportunity to meet some other photographers and be able to geek out with them!

Baby Meg {Lake Oswego Newborn Photographer}

There is something about newborns. I can never quite believe how tiny and sweet they are. Meg was no exception. She was laid back and has the sweetest head of blonde hair I have ever seen!

Please help {Portland Family Photographer}

On Friday, June 4th a young boy went missing from Skyline Elementary School. Just last October I had a photo shoot at Skyline and now can't imagine the impact this is having on the school and community (not to mention his poor family).

Please keep your eyes open for anything that might help bring sweet Kyron home. I cannot even begin to imagine what this family is going through.

Each Wednesday I will showcase an ensemble of looks to help give you an idea of what might work for your photo shoot. Remember to keep it relaxed and comfortable and wear something you can play in!
